#HLSBets CFB Week 12 Recap, Rundown, Top 25 and More!
Welcome back to #HLSBets on HLS Entertainment! As always we are about to do a rundown on what happened in the biggest games of the weekend, talk about the worst losses for #HLSBets, discuss the Heisman Race, and talk about whose stock is rising and falling. Before I get going I want to remind you to follow along with the #HLSBets public sheet on Twitter @HaroldLStokes, we post the most consistent winners in CFB for free. As well as you can DM me there about joining the Bonus Sheet, but right now there is a Black Friday special to join the Bowl Sheet for a special price and get the last two weekends of regular season CFB bonus sheets for free as well (Conference Championships included). Enough with the blah blah selling onto the rundown!
Our weekend kicked off Friday night with two games, first off we had Houston host Memphis and just beat up on them 31-13. This Houston team is good, the AAC Championship is going to be fun. Then we had a game that went on to what felt like 4am in San Diego State squeaking out another W 28-20. The game was almost sealed by an interception but the final punt by SDSU kept things interesting. Saturday morning Georgia just went out there and walloped Charleston Southern 56-7. I can hear the radio talk show callers now "who has Georgia played PAWL". In what we thought could be the game of the weekend Ohio State matched that score embarassing #7 Michigan State 56-7. This Buckeyes team is hot exactly at the right moment.
Clemson man, they might have figured it out way too late. Wake Forest went on the road to the fake Death Valley and were reminded who runs the ACC, Clemson 48-27. Oklahoma is somehow still alive, beating Iowa State 28-21 keeps their playoff hopes alive if chaos were to happen. Texas A&M beat a team I swear no one but the students at the school knew existed, Prairie View 52-3. Mississippi State got their tune up game before the egg bowl whipping Tennessee State 55-10. I guess Iowa is still relevant? They beat Illinois in a game nobody cared about 33-23.
We officially have a Notre Dame problem for the playoffs. They hosted Georgia Tech and stomped them out 55-0. In one of the best games of the weekend Arkansas showed up to Tuscaloosa ready to play but Bryce Young's electric day held the Tide above water carrying the defense to win 42-35. Michigan traveled to Maryland and showed they deserve all the hype they are getting, that DLine is scary, Michigan 59-18. Nebraska fell short once again, this time to Wisconsin 28-35. I am not on the media hype behind Wisconsin but that freshman RB Braelon Allen is LEGIT. Kenny Pickett won the game but lost one of his first QB duals this year to Brennan Armstrong. Pitt won 48-38, somehow the defense didn't collapse.
UAB traveled to undefeated UTSA and almost ruined their perfect season, but UTSA ended up prevailing 31-34. Cincy I am proud of you. Cincinnati had a "big matchup" against SMU and did what a playoff contender is supposed to do versus a team like SMU, they won 48-14. Man BYU if you didn't ruin your season before most schools fall break you would be in playoff talks right now. Not because of impressive wins but off of record alone, they beat Georgia Southern 34-17. NC State knows what situation they are in right now within their division and came to play beating Syracuse 41-17.
Baylor fans better be praying Dave Aranda is not in the mood to travel, he would be my #1 choice if I am LSU, Florida or USC right now. But this past weekend his team held on to beat Kansas State 20-10. Oregon, wow. Congrats to Utah, and props to their fans remembering my trashing them as they hosted Oregon and ruined their playoff hopes in a 38-7 upset. Ole Miss fans have to feel a little nervous going into the Egg Bowl after beating Vandy only 31-17. Oklahoma State, it is fitting that you are the last game on my list because you apparently were left off the committees list as well getting so disrespected. The cowboys rolled into Texas Tech and won 23-0.

Bets I Should Have Won
Oregon Blowing It
It really has to suck to be a Pac-12 fan in this past decade. The once proud conference has just been demolished by modern college football. There are teams that should be perennial power houses but just can not seem to get it done. Oregon is one of those teams. I really do not know what it is about the Pac-12, a few teams each year are just above average and sneak their ways to wins and high rankings but just fall apart at the worst times. Oregon has been the kings of this recently, and getting demolished by Utah was just embarassing. I was rooting for you so hard to represent the Pac-12, rise above the mediocrity and deliver a great season of football. They still will probably end up winning the Pac-12 championship but for a team that went into Columbus and won setting them up for the playoffs this has to be really disappointing. Here is to hoping Miami doesn't fire Manny Diaz and you get to keep Mario Cristobal. That is assuming he isn't furious at them for taking so long to rightfully offer him the job.
Heisman Frontrunners
CJ Stroud -200
Bryce Young +110
This is now officially a two horse race. We know how this goes, the Heisman is supposed to be the best player in college football but has turned into a who is the best player on the best team award. We also know how this goes, if either player loses this weekend to their rival it might be a death stroke to their Heisman campaign. But if they both win? Then we do this exact song and dance for Conference Championship week. Neither player can slow up and both are playing in premier fashion right now. CJ Stroud just threw 32/35 for 432 and 6 touchdowns absolutely demolishing Michigan State. Bryce Young just threw 31/40 for 559 and 5 touchdowns in a game that should not have been that close but Bryce himself kept Alabama alive and fighting. Their total stats are very close, Stroud has thrown for 3468 yards 36 TDs and 5 INTs, and Young has thrown for 3584 38 TDs and 3 INTs. One thing to tilt it in Young's direction is neither QB are a running threat in reality even though both players have the ability, Bryce has two rushing TDs to Stroud's zero.

Any Other Heisman Candidate
I am sorry to these players: Matt Corrall, Kenneth Walker III, Kenny Pickett, Desmond Ridder, Tanner Mordecai, JT Daniels, Malik Willis and Bijan Robinson. This are all the players I at one point this season mentioned them in the Heisman Race. I am sorry to you all, you lost. All of these are guys that had a real shot at one point or another. Mordecai specifically is getting screwed the most because of where he plays. I will add Bailey Zappe because he leads the nation in touchdowns at FORTY-EIGHT, ten more than the second place tie between Bryce and Tanner. Zappe also leads in yards by 525 yards, dude has gotten zero respect all year and that is because he plays for Western Kentucky, if you swapped him and Ridder and he still had these numbers he has already wrapped up the Heisman race and is just lapping everyone else.

The Egg Bowl
Clemson ACC Champion
Screw every NFL game on Thanksgiving the biggest game of Thanksgiving is the Egg Bowl. These two schools and fan bases just HATE each other. One thinks the other is just dumb rednecks while pretending to be better than them, and the other thinks the other is a bunch of fake rich people and hanger-ons that just pretend to be better than everyone. I LOVE rivalry weekend and this game gets lost in the mix of the big rivalries like Alabama v Auburn and Ohio State v Michigan. This game is just as important and has just as much hate behind it. It is the reason why we love college football.
Okay just hear me out. If Wake Forest loses to Boston College and NC State loses to North Carolina Clemson wins the Atlantic Division and will face off against Pitt in the ACC Championship game. I am 100% for this chaos not just because I called this a few weeks ago but also because I am PRO dynasties. If Clemson pulls this off after this crappy season they have had it will prove the ACC is a huge joke (still not as bad as the Pac-12) and the Clemson dynasty still reigns. I love watching the greatness of college football dynasties. But this is not greatness this is sneaking in the back door to a championship game but the
