HLS Movie Awards Best Acting Ensemble

Image
Welcome back to HLS Entertainment! Today we are covering the HLS Movie Award Nominees for Best Acting Ensemble! These films have just incredible acting from top to bottom throughout all the main players in the film as well as side characters. Outstanding singular performances that might get nominated themselves for Best Actor or Actress is NOT a requirement for this award, but that does not mean a singular performance can't help elevate the film as a whole. This award is to highlight all of the incredible people who did such a good job playing their roles no matter if it was a lead performance or not. Before we get into the nominees, please be sure to follow us on Twitter  @HLSEntrtainment  and my personal account  @HaroldLStokes . On to the nominees! Belfast Starring: Jude Hill, Caitriona Balfe, Jamie Dornan, Ciaran Hinds, Judi Dench and Lewis McAskie     Just an incredible movie that the entire thing hangs on Jude Hill's acting performance and likability, and he is just

HLS Movie Awards Top 116 Movies of 2021 Part 4! 70-51

Welcome back to HLS Entertainment! Today we are going to discuss Part 4 of the top 116 movies of 2021, this time 70-51. Part one we discussed many popular well-known movies that flopped quality wise (and box office in some cases), part two contained films that were so close to being good but just were not quite there but were still enjoyable, part three was more of the same but had less obvious misgivings, here in part four we have a few that fit that mold, but this is where the list turns into just really good movies. I will highly recommend all but one of these films, but we will discuss that when we get there. We might have loved movies you hated, or hated ones you loved, let us know in the comments or on Twitter  @HLSEntrtainment  or my personal Twitter  @HaroldLStokes .       Now like always with every movie I am going to be putting what I personally think is the safest grading scale out there, the IMDB user rating score. Here is a simple breakdown of what their 0.0-10 grad

HLS Movie Awards 2021: Best Score Nominees!

Image
Welcome back to HLS Entertainment! Today we are going to be discussing the nominees for the best original musical score of a 2021 film. This is easily one of my favorite categories every year, I love having the excuse to jam out to these incredible works of music while writing and doing my other work. We have some all-star talent in this year's nominees, some composers that were new to me that I now love, as well as one composer who is nominated for two separate films.     Please be sure to like share this on social media and follow me on Twitter  @HaroldLStokes  to keep up with all of this year's nominees! Now with these nominations, I will only do a quick blurb about the composer and the film, but I am putting the link to the score on Spotify as well. Let these nominees be the background music to your life today as you listen and enjoy their incredible work. Don't Look Up - Composer: Nicholas Britell      Don't Look Up as a film itself was divisive online but my

Welcome back to HLS Entertainment! Today we are going to discuss Part 3 of the top 116 movies of 2021, this time 90-71. Part one we discussed many popular well-known movies that flopped quality wise (and box office in some cases) and part two was films that were so close to being good but just were not quite there but were still enjoyable, today's part 3 contains a lot more of that but these movies were much closer to the mark. These are movies we enjoyed very much but just something was missing from it or there were still some obvious issues. Here is a simple breakdown of what their 0.0-10 grading scale means: 0.1-5.0  = Horrible waste of time 5.1-6.4  = Risky

HLS Movie Awards 2021: Best Stunt Work Nominees!

Image
Welcome back to HLS Entertainment! Today we are going to be discussing our first HLS Movie Awards category, Best Stunt Work! Now what is stunt work? This includes everything from fight choreography, car chases, explosions and other dangerous acts as well as everything in between. I will say up front that I have a very big bias towards excellent fight choreography, but all sorts of stunts are represented here not just hand to hand fighting.     This list of nominees is not in any sort of rank order, it is in alphabetical order (hopefully). I will not lend bias to each clip so I will be very brief with each as I want the movie and the stunts to speak for themselves. Before we get to the nominees be sure to follow me on Twitter  @HaroldLStokes  and let me know what your favorite stunt performances of the year were! If you get nothing else from this award nominee blog, just enjoy the very cool and excellently performed work on display by these nominees. Black Widow Black Widow had s
