#HLSBets Super Bowl Preview

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 5:30pm CBS

O/U: 56 (opened 56.5 so trending down)

Winner: Chiefs -160 -3, Bucs  +135 +3 (opened -165+145, -+3.5)

Welcome to Super Bowl Sunday, the final day of the football season. This year has been one hell of a mess with Covid and the Browns and Bills actually being good, hell must have frozen over. Tom Brady left New England after over two decades of freezing his butt off in Foxborough and turned a 7-9 team into a possible Super Bowl winning team. Patrick Mahomes is slowly becoming the most iconic person that sounds like Kermit the Frog (including Jim Henson) who with a win today that would put him at 7 playoff wins compared to his EIGHT TOTAL REGULAR SEASON LOSSES. We are in rarified air here, the GOAT versus the phenom freak. As a fair reminder one of Patrick Mahomes Eight total regular season losses was to Tom Brady and the Patriots, as well as his only playoff loss came at the hands of Tom Brady in overtime.

I know we all love to exaggerated, but this might be Patrick Mahomes one shot at having a chance at dethroning Brady as the GOAT. He will not dethrone him by beating him, but it will open the door. Meanwhile if the 25 year old loses to the 43 year old for the third time? Brady being the only QB to beat Mahomes in the playoffs? Mahomes will never be able to get over that hump, Brady will always be the GOAT no amount of State Farm commercials will fix that.

Interesting thing to keep an eye out for, both of these QBs are comeback kings we all now Tom Brady's long career of being THE QB you want if you need a score late, including his masterpiece of winning after being down 28-3 to the Falcons in the Super Bowl. But here is the number to know for Mahomes, four of his six playoff victories his team trailed by nine plus points and Mahomes brought them back to win by nine or more points.

Now let us look at the injury report

Main takeaway? Eric Fisher is out for the Chiefs, expect a lot of pressure on Mahomes via this Buccaneers front seven, they do not get enough credit for how good they are. Also? Antonio Brown is back (first TD prop bet anyone?)

The National Anthem is being sung as a duet by Eric Church and Jazmine Sullivan being the first Super Bowl Anthem Duet since 2006. The bet is of course Over or Under length of time, this year is 1:59 I am taking the OVER. Use this video however you wish

O/U: 56 (8C - 7B) OVER

Hey I appreciate you all reading and betting with my breakdowns all season, do not be a stranger feel free to reach out and chat ball and movies with me all off season on twitter ,well on to the bets

Game opened at 56.5 so the total is trending downwards, but with both of these QBs being comeback specialist I do not think this one will be over until the final bell tolls the over will fight to stay alive. The only way this becomes an under game is if these defenses really step it up. with Eric Fisher officially out for the chiefs that is a possibility that he gets harassed all night. And Tom Brady is old man can he do it one more game?  He snuck away against the Packers getting away with those interceptions (that were not on him)

Game opened heavier on the Chiefs and the money is moving towards the Bucs mainly for value, but also the injuries just line up Bucs getting healthier with Antonio Brown back this offense could go off. But really my final thoughts about this game is, it is Tom Brady, are you REALLY going to count him out against anyone?
