CFB Power 5 Previews: ACC Win Totals

    Welcome back to #HLSBets on HLS Entertainment! This week we are going to look at EVERY team in the power 5 conferences, and the independents with a few extras thrown in, win total and discussing how I am betting it for each team. Last season I was 6-6 in the ACC .500 but making money, Pitt and NC States shocking years really changed things. Is it time for Clemson to "bounce back" and take back over? Atlantic


Boston College 

2021 Record: 6-6

Win Total O/U: 6.5

Bet: OVER

    If this team figures out their OL quick and stays away from the injuries this season they could easily mess around and win 8 games. I am very curious about their 10/22 matchup with Wake Forest as it could be the tipping point for a good to great BC season.


Syracuse 

2021 Record: 5-7

Win Total O/U: 4.5

Bet: STAY AWAY

    I think this season is very ugly for Syracuse. The question is how ugly does it get. If I had to bet it I would say under as I really only see two wins on the schedule but I have seen people I trust predicting them sneak their way to 6 wins. I really do not see it, I mean maybe Shrader takes a step forward as the full time starter? Nearly anything is stepping forward for the 121st worst passing offense in the nation last season.


Florida State 

2021 Record: 5-7

Win Total O/U: 6.5

Bet: UNDER

    ...Honestly why does anyone expect this team to be good this season? Mike Norvell is prime to be fired before they even finish the season. They legitimately could start 1-6.


Louisville 

2021 Record: 6-7

Win Total O/U: 6

Bet: OVER

    It is win or die time for Scott Satterfield. Malik Cunningham might be the biggest waste of talent in the country playing on this bad team but he can very easily carry them to 6 wins by himself. Just needs the rest of the team to show up to win one more game. They are going to end the season 0-3, lets see what they can do in those first 9 games.


Wake Forest 

2021 Record: 11-3

Win Total O/U: 7

Bet: STAY AWAY

    We do not know what is going on with QB Sam Hartman still so I am just blatantly recommending stay away from betting this win total unless you somehow got a much higher win total based off him still being there. To be honest my opinion of this team prior to his undisclosed issue was I did not think they would repeat their success though it is really sad we will not get a chance to see if this offense could step forward since they return nearly every starter.


North Carolina State 

2021 Record: 9-3

Win Total O/U: 8.5

Bet: OVER

    If NC State is ever going to be a 10 win team this is their shot. This is one of the most experienced defenses in the country this year that can take another step forward after being a top tier defense in the ACC. They are not beating Clemson again but every other game on their schedule is very much theirs for the taking. I am very much looking forward to watching this team.


Clemson 

2021 Record: 10-3

Win Total O/U: 10.5

Bet: OVER

    I am going in big for over 10.5. How did they lose that much respect for Clemson that quick. My guess is the departure of Venables as DC but this defense is LOADED and should be a top tier defense in the country once again this season. This is College Football Playoff or bust for this team, I would have taken the over at 11.5. I want them to be great, great programs continuing to be great is great for CFB. BUT, how great would it be to find out Venables was actually the reason for their success and watch this team collapses?

Coastal


Duke 

2021 Record: 3-9

Win Total O/U: 3.5

Bet: UNDER

    Mike Elko for sure has a shot to turn this program around but here in his first year it is going to be rough. It is sad because you can't even count the Kansas game as a potential win because I believe the Jayhawks for sure will beat this team.


Georgia Tech 

2021 Record: 3-9

Win Total O/U: 3

Bet: UNDER

    This team was really bad and got even worse for this season. All of their best players were poached in the transfer portal and Geoff Collins sadly probably does not finish the season as the head coach of this team.


Miami 

2021 Record: 7-5

Win Total O/U: 9

Bet: STAY AWAY

    Mario Cristobal returns home. They should have hired him before Oregon announced him as head coach, he will have south Florida absolutely locked down recruiting and now has huge connections out west that this team now has a potential to become a title contender very soon. I just do not think it is this year. This team has three very dangerous games that they could very easily lose. Stealing Josh Gattis from Michigan was a huge nab.


North Carolina 

2021 Record: 6-7

Win Total O/U: 7.5

Bet: OVER

    This season's outcome is entirely based upon what type of production do they get from the Quarterback position. Replacing Sam Howell will hang over this team all through camp and into the season. I think this team's defense takes a big step forward this year with Gene Chizik taking over as defensive coordinator, and if that shakes out he will be on the shortlist to replace Mack Brown when he inevitably retires soon. 


Pittsburgh 

2021 Record: 11-3

Win Total O/U: 8.5

Bet: UNDER

    What are we doing here people. Kenny Pickett WAS this offense, Jordan Addison WAS this offense. This defense was PITIUL and benefitted from teams being able to throw at will that they racked up sacks. I think this team is more likely to go 5-7 than 9-3. Easy under.


Virginia 

2021 Record: 6-6

Win Total O/U: 6.5

Bet: OVER

    I will bet that Brennan Armstrong's arm can keep them in every single game on their schedule as they avoid playing Clemson this year. They lost their entire OL either to transfers or graduation so that is obviously the huge question mark but if they give Armstrong time his has plenty of weapons to sling the rock to this season.


Virginia Tech 

2021 Record: 6-7

Win Total O/U: 6

Bet: OVER

    Virginia Tech just has solid football teams. It comes from their recruiting base they do not land the giant 5 stars of their area but they hit on some overlooked guys every year. Marshall transfer Grant Wells seems to have locked down the starting QB job and will be more than likely used in more of a game manger role this year even though he does have the arm for the occasional deep shot. Looking at their schedule they seem to have bowl eligibility at least locked up before the season starts, they just need to win one of their 6 challenging games to beat this total.

WandaVision : Disney's First MCU TV Show - What to Expect and Theories

      Disney+ launched November 12th 2019, and has exploded across the world and now has over 60 million subscribers world wide. With the launch of Disney+ the streaming platform put out "The Mandalorian" as the flagship tv show for the service. "The Mandalorian" was a gigantic hit success but has really been the only smash hit show from the streaming service, but that might soon change. One thing in common with The Mandalorian is that WandaVision will supposedly have a Disney Gallery behind the scenes show about it as well. "WandaVision" still has a secret/vague release date on "winter 2020"and is going to be the MCU's first Kevin Feige produced tv show that is directly tied into the MCU. Fans like myself that adored the Marvel Netflix shows and ABC's Agents of Shield / Agent Carter have been bummed for years at their very loose adjacency to the mainline MCU cannon.
