On to the rundown!     Things started firing hot out in Austin Texas where Alabama traveled to play Texas, Quinn Ewers sadly got banged up early we all hope he gets better quickly. In a tough defensive struggle Alabama hung around to win 20-19. Georgia scored 30 points before halftime on Samford then just had their offense weirdly fizzle out in the second half (Samford's never started), UGA 33-0. Arkansas State might have been just what the doctor ordered for this Ohio State offense that was struggling to find a rhythm as they pulled away to win 45-12. Michigan beat down on Hawaii 56-10 wit

West Virginia @ Pitt was a fun game where both Slovis and Jt Daniels proved they are still good QBs, JT just getting the shorter end of the stick of the weapons around him. Pitt won 38-31. Still on Thursday night Wake and Tennessee demolished their opponents VMI and Ball State 44-10 and 59-10 respectively. How good is Purdue? Or is the real question how bad is Penn State? Week 0 was a really fun tease of college football with 11 games, but I am ready for that full bliss of 20+ games on Thursday/Friday then 40+ games on Saturday. Today will be a very brief version of our weekly recaps/previews as you just more so see the over view for the season, and how this will be formatted this year. Each week this section will have a recap of last weeks biggest games, storylines to know. Then we will go through the updated #HLSBets Top 25 and discuss the moves up and down the rankings. We will then dive into gambling odds, generally it specifically will be Heisman odds but I am adding a new section of bets I am looking forward to and that will include win totals, conference championship odds and playoff hopefuls. This week we are going to look at EVERY team in the power 5 conferences, and the independents with a few extras thrown in, win total and discussing how I am betting it for each team. Last season I was 6-6 in the Pac 12, still making money but disappointing. There has been a lot of turnover at the powerhouse programs in the conference and that will have heavy ripple effects for the rest of the conference. It is so weird that there is no longer divisions in the Pac 12, not sure if I like it. First instinct was to hate it.
